Festivals you can actually apply to

This is the page most artists want and almost no directory provides. A list of festivals is only useful if it tells you which doors are actually open, because a season spent writing to curated programmes that never read unsolicited mail is a season wasted.

Two routes, and they are not equivalent. A form means the festival has built a process and will read what arrives — slower to fill in, far more likely to be seen. An email route means a small team reading their own inbox, where a short, specific, correctly addressed message in their own language beats a long one every time.
