Canada runs the best-organised busker circuit in the world. Halifax, Toronto, Waterloo, Kingston, Ottawa and Edmonton fall within a few weeks of each other in July and August, most of them pay a fee on top of the hat, and several cover travel. Applications open in the previous autumn and are handled through proper forms.

Write in the local language wherever you can. It is a small circuit and a message in the organiser's own language reads as respect, not effort.
